The Feast of St. Augustine was the first day I had to transport Cathy to all her appointments in a wheelchair. She was particularly weak that day and very unsteady in her walk. Not all days are that way. Yesterday she walked to most places, sometimes using a walker. It’s been a while since headaches and nausea were part of her life, but they paid her a few visits since my last update three weeks ago. Tomorrow, we head back to Duke for another MRI/Glio checkup. We are blessed to have great medical care. We will drive and admire God’s wonderment. It’s great hanging out with my Soulmate.
Three sisters, who were Cathy’s college roommates, were the memory makers this past week. Chautauqua Lake, Niagara Falls and Lake Erie were the venues, filled with the beauty of God’s creation, fun memories, and plenty of laughter. The Welty’s are a very loving and nurturing family, and their timing was perfect. Thank you, Debra, Nelda and Christal.
