Dedicated to Love
We met Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf on a Valentine weekend flight. She sat in front of us, next to her encased cello. By the time we arrived to Minneapolis we had decided to attend her university concert the next evening, along with our friends, Christal and Gil. Mairi dedicated a love song to us, “One Hand One Heart” from West Side Story. It was surely one of the most beautiful highlights of this last month. Joyfully, we also heard from one of our two missing sons. He is struggling but alive and trying. Our family feels more complete. We also had a wonderful visit from Pat & Barb Ceasar (Memphis) and a spirited visit from “Sunshine” Chadwick (Colorado), one of our mission student volunteers.
Cathy is nearing her 24-month diagnosis-anniversary (March 13th), the time marker by which 95% of people with Glioblastoma die. Typically, Cathy will accomplish yet another amazing 5% status, but this last month did include more glio-decline. Steroids are now part of her twice-a-day medicine packs, and for the first of several times, morphine was administered to rescue her intense, random pains. Incontinence races to the bathroom are also now part of our daily excitement. We are managing. Although our travel days may be over, we continue to be so blessed, especially by our family and friends. Thank you, God. We love You.

I will always thank God for the gift of you in my life. Cathy, your incredibly beautiful smile, your tremendous courage, and your unfailing willingness to do God’s will are truly beyond compare! You both remain in my fervent prayers. I love you and I miss you. May God be with you and your wonderful family today and always.
God bless you both. We will continue our daily prayers for Cathy and you, Tom. ❤️🙏❤️
Tom & Cathy, know that we pray often for both of you, especially for Cathy. Don has had some dementia the past several years but we just found out it may be Alzheimer’s. So pray for us as well.

Dearest Cathy & Tom,
Blessings and heart felt Love for you both. This past weekend was WMOS and I thought of Cathy at the conference so many times, as she was one of our great speakers.
I would love to visit you both but it seems like there many things on our plate. We will celebrate Werner’s 25 years as Deacon and Holy Spirits 50 Golden Jubilee. Now Lent and I always remember your Stations of the Cross. We pray for Cathy & You everyday and a rosary! We love you both so much!!
God is certainly taking care of both of you. God’s love shines through you, holding your spirit in His Divine Love.
Deep prayers and my love.
As so many have said before this, you are in our prayers as well. May God continue to grant you patience and give you comfort. You both have done so much for so many and I wish we could take some of the burden off of your shoulders. Our prayers will have to suffice and I hope they bring you peace. Hugs from Germantown,
John and Sarah Mullis
Continuing to pray for you both on this journey that God has mapped out for you. Rejoice in each day that He has given you.
I am savoring these posts and cherish the gift of life even in difficult times. Feel blessed to still be able to see my dear sweet friend’s beautiful smile and face. Love and prayers always.
3-18-25 thinking about you this morning Cathy. Appreciating the 9ish years that we worked together. Realizing at the time what a special and unique and spiritual and rare human you are. I love you Cathy. Now and forever.
